The Growing to Green Harvest Awards honors the dedication and hard work of many Central Ohio communities and individuals within urban agriculture and community gardens. Nominations and applications may be made by anyone. The Growing to Green Harvest Awards are officially bestowed at the annual Harvest Award Ceremony.

To make the most of everyone's time, we will keep the conversation focused and solution-oriented. We are not just here to air problems. We are here to understand them together and figure out what we can actually do about them. Every concern raised is a chance to make GCGC stronger for all of us.

Come ready to speak honestly, listen to your fellow members, and be part of building something better. Bring your questions, your ideas, and your experience. We will make sure everyone who wants to be heard gets the chance.

Growing Up: An Introduction to Hydroponics
Curious about growing fresh food year-round without soil? This presentation offers an overview of hydroponic growing, from how plants get everything they need from water and nutrients alone to the most common system types and how they work. You'll learn the basics of monitoring pH and nutrient levels, choosing the right crops, and going from seed to harvest in weeks. Whether you're a home grower, an educator, or simply curious, you'll leave with practical steps to get started and a clearer picture of how hydroponics can expand access to fresh food in Columbus.

We want to hear from you. This town hall is an open forum for GCGC members to share what is working, raise concerns, and help shape where the coalition goes next.

This is your chance to tell us where GCGC is serving you well and where we can do better. Whether it is the plant drops, the monthly meetings, access to resources, or the direction of the coalition as a whole, your perspective matters and we want it on the record.

GCGC will cook and provide hot dogs and hamburgers.   We will not have a Regular GCGC Meeting in August, we will have this Picnic instead of the August meeting.  We would like to include spouses and kids.  We are asking members to bring a side dish to share. Let me know if anyone has any diet restrictions.  We will also provide drinks and water and have a raffle and giveaways. We will also have kickball and other games.  The location is at the Church of Christ of the Apostolic Faith, 1200 Brentnell Ave, Columbus, Ohio 43219.

Please Park along the edge near the stage or by the school.

Please RSVP to let me know if you can make it and are bringing a guest and what dish you are bringing.
